Practice Summary
Synergy Psych is a rapidly growing group private practice in Greenville, South Carolina seeking
licensed psychologist to our join team as the Director of Assessment. Established for 12 years,
our practice provides wide breadth of services to children, adolescents, and adults. Services
include counseling, group counseling, and assessment. In addition, our other company division
Synergy Performance (www.synergyperformancesc.com) offers sport/performance psychology,
executive coaching, and organizational development services. We have strong referral
relationships throughout the Upstate of South Carolina and consult on a national level with

Position Summary
Seeking a licensed psychologist experienced working with patient population including children
and adolescents. Services provided to include assessment, consultation, and individual
counseling (small case load, if desired).

Essential Job Functions:
• Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children,
adolescents, and adults for presenting concerns including ADHD, learning disorders,
mood concerns, etc. 
• Generate in-depth reports that provide complete picture of patient functioning and
demonstrate thorough analysis of data, including standardized test results, clinical and
collateral interviews, observations, etc.
• Develop and present an extensive list of concrete recommendations to assist patients
with diagnoses including ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional and personality
difficulties, career readiness, etc.
• Conduct detailed assessment feedback appointments and ensure patients and/or
families have an understanding of reports and recommendations provided
• Engage in consultation roles involving IEP/504 planning and meeting attendance
• Promote and grow the assessment division through speaking engagements and other
marketing efforts
• Function as vital part of a team
• Provide leadership to assessment team, including learning specialists and administrative
staff
• Collaborate with staff, teachers, parents, and other professionals to accomplish
assessment and treatment goals
• Provide individual counseling (if desired)
Position Requirements:
• Education: Ph.D. or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or School
Psychology from an APA Accredited Program; completion of an APA Accredited
Internship
• Licensure status: Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in South Carolina

The Lowdergroup invites applications for a clinically oriented post-doctoral fellowship position. Successful candidates will receive specific training in the use of cognitive behavioral and related treatment techniques as well as completion of psychoeducational evaluations a private practice setting. The position will provide postdoctoral clinical hours and supervision necessary for licensure along with didactic, case consultation, and community presentation opportunities. Candidates would manage a clinical caseload of youth and adults who present with mental health concerns as well as conduct weekly psychoeducational evaluations as part of an assessment team while working alongside other clinicians and office staff. Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology, Child Maltreatment Emphasis, Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center, Charleston (posted 11/23/16, deadline 12/15/16)

The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center (DNLCC) is seeking qualified applicants to complete a 2-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in clinical psychology, beginning in the Summer of 2017.  Our center is a funded Community Treatment and Service Center of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, and the fellow will conduct mentored clinical work (20%) and research (80%) in the child maltreatment field.  This position is an excellent opportunity for mentorship as a clinical scientist, engaging in clinically-relevant research at a nationally recognized Children’s Advocacy Center.  Additional specialized training in best practices for treating sequelae of child trauma exposure is provided by national (e.g., TF-CBT, AF-CBT) and within agency (e.g., PCIT) trainers in these models. Pediatric Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship, Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston (posted 11/11/16, deadline 1/1/17)

The Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) announces a full-time postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology during the 2017-2018 academic year.  The primary responsibilities of this postdoctoral fellowship position include evidence-based evaluation of children and adolescents, birth through 21 years of age, with a wide range of presenting concerns.  The Pediatric Psychology Service in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics is an outpatient clinic located in a major medical center that serves a diverse population of patients from a large geographical area (http://www.musckids.org/developmentalpeds/#about). The Pediatric Psychology team currently consists of five licensed psychologists and one licensed psychoeducational specialist.  The team works closely with other allied health professionals to provide comprehensive psychological and medical care to children.  The Pediatric Psychology service also participates in the nationally recognized, APA-accredited Charleston Consortium Psychology Internship Training Program (academicdepartments.musc.edu/psychology_internship/index.htm). 
 
Pediatric psychology postdoctoral fellows gain experience with a wide variety of populations, including children with developmental disabilities, complex medical and neurological conditions, learning disabilities, attention problems, behavior problems, autism spectrum disorder, and psychiatric disorders.  Postdoctoral fellows participate in the South Carolina Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (SC LEND) fellowship program (http://academicdepartments.musc.edu/sclend/). ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, Clinical-Community Psychology, Department of Psychology, University of South Carolina, Columbia (posted 11/3/16)

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Clinical-Community Psychology. In particular, we seek candidates whose research program focuses on socio-cultural dimensions of health. Successful candidates will (a) be competitive for external research funding and (b) contribute to USC’s priority on health-focused research. Successful candidates will also have (c) the ability to supervise intervention practica for doctoral students (e.g., adult, couples, family therapy). 
 
Preference will be given to candidates whose research addresses concerns of African American, Latino, or other populations disproportionally affected by social and health inequities. This is an area of strong national focus given the recent implementation of the National Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), and the NIH Office for Behavioral and Social Sciences (OBSSR) is focused on these issues as a top priority. The Clinical-Community Doctoral Program has emphases in child and family well-being, community-based intervention and prevention, and integration of clinical and community psychology. Qualifications include a promising record in original research, a commitment to quality teaching, and a doctoral degree or satisfactory progress toward completion of a doctoral degree in psychology or a related field. The candidate should be licensed or license eligible and interested in pursuing licensure. Eligible candidates must have a Ph.D. from a doctoral program APA-accredited in clinical psychology.
